Hubby's Birthday Weekend

This past weekend, my husband and I celebrated his 27th birthday in San Francisco. I got a great deal on some tickets to the San Francisco Giants game against the Texas Rangers. My hubby love baseball and the Giants so I was super stoked when I came across these two tickets right next to the Giants dugout. We had a great time on Orange Friday (sportin' the color proud). A couple foul balls past by our heads, we had some delicious garlic fries and I was entertained by the handsome Giant's players that were directly to my right. Although the Giants didn't win, Hubs and I still had a great time!

We decided to stay the night in the city instead of making the hour drive home. I, again, got a great deal on a hotel from Hotwire.com. We stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel right next to the Metreon and Soma. We searched for a bar to have drinks but came up empty. There was a bar in the hotel but wayyy overcrowded with guests who were there for a dentistry party..Right?.. anyhow, here's a few snapshots from our room. There was even a Keurig Coffee maker in the room! I was excited about that. From our room you could even see the AT&T Ballpark (where the SF Giants play). Kinda cool

The next day we woke up early and went to Pier 39 and had breakfast. Best biscuits and gravy we've ever had! My mouth is watering thinking about them. We walked around the pier and decided to head to Golden Gate Park to the Academy of Science. They had a special exhibit on earthquakes. There was a simulator where you could feel the San Francisco earthquakes of 1906 & 1989. SCARY! I definitely would not want to have been there. We walked around the aquarium and other exhibits as well. We finished our day off with dinner at the Cheesecake Factory and then make the trip back home... My husband had a great time.

 Until our next adventure.

Zumba!

Happy Saturday!! I just got back from doing my Zumba workout.

Unless you live under a rock you should know what it is ;-) Or you can find out more here.

There are so many different ways you can try Zumba;

in a class

 Xbox, Wii or DVD's

They even offer Zumba you can do in the pool, and some designed just for toning.

Whatever your cup it tea is, I suggest you give it a shot. I always dreaded going to the gym and trying to figure out what to do to lose weight. My mom and I have been going to a Zumba class for a little over a month now and we love it. We take an hour long class and it doesn't even feel like we are working out. I feel like I am having fun dancing. Don't get me wrong, it does get you sweating and you start to feel it as a workout. It does get a little easier with each class and we learn new routines once a month and incorporate them with the ones we already know. It definitly is a full body workout and isn't only for women. Although, I'm still trying to get my husband to come with me...

Do you do Zumba? "Ditch the workout, and join the party!"

50 Questions for Date Night

So, I saw this idea on Pinterest. I thought it was great!

The idea is to have some conversation starters for you and your spouse. Once my hubby and I have a topic to talk about we are set. It's those awkward moments when you are sitting around the table or right before bed and have nothing to say to each other (don't know if that happens to you.)

The list I found has 50 questions to ask your spouse on date night. They range from simple questions to spiritual and intimate questions.

I thought I would break the questions up and take our time rather then try and rush through all 50 questions in one sitting. The blog suggest going in depth with the questions.

I printed out the 50 questions on regular paper

And then cut a strip for each question (make sure to keep a "ask wife" or "ask husband" type question together)

Some questions may not apply to you- try to re-write them to make it more personal
Fold the questions

Then I put them in a sandwich baggy (I'll find a cuter way to do this later) and we can pull 3-5 questions at a time to discuss.

You may already know of have an idea of the answer you will receive from you spouse on some of the questions. But who knows... maybe some things have changed. And with the hustle and bustle of life you may or may not have noticed. Once you've gone through all 50 questions, try and come up with some new ones together. This is a great way to get to know your spouse all over again :)

Family Reunion Part I

This past weekend we had a family reunion for my mom's side of the family. The weekend was really enjoyable! On Saturday my parents and brothers and sister and their families and I went to Knotts Berry Farm. It was nice to get everyone together and emjoy the park like we used to when we were kids.
We found a drawing of my brother! Haha

My brother did not want to get on any roller coasters. This was his face when we dragged him on one. LOL

My sister, cousin, nephew, and brother's gf.
